Tiny Cut Steel Buckles / Slides
These two riveted cut steel buckles are unusual smaller than one usually finds; they may once have adorned shoes or hats. They likely date from the late 19th Century to the early 20th Century.
Each measures approximately 7/16" wide by 13/16" in height. The opening - is about 7/16 at its widest point, and 1/4" inch at its narrowest, so will accomodate a ribbon in that measurement range.
In very good condition, with some patina and slight wear. They are very usable.

Large Wood & Burgundy Plastic Buckle
Here's a really unusual buckle in a large size. It measures 3 1/4" by 2 5/8" inches. The opening will accommodate a belt up to 2 inches wide. Two deep red pieces of plastic alternate with the wood pieces at the edges.
In good condition, with some light wear. It appears to be handcrafted. Very usable. $7.

La Mode Big Buckle
A buckle that makes a statement! This buckle dates from the late 60s / early 70s and measures a whopping 3 13/16" wide, and 1 7/8" tall. The opening is 1.25" inches tall.
Made by La Mode Buttons, it is still in its original package. It is slightly curved. The package shows a little wear; but the buckle is like new.

Blue Buckle / Slide
This blue plastic buckle has a very attractive line pattern in it. Interior measurement is 1 5/16" - it's 2" in diameter overall.
Why not buy some 1" wide vintage trim & make a belt? Or, use it as an adjustor for a handbag strap. $4.95

Newey Snap Fasteners, Size 1
This is a full card of 10 Newey Snap Fasteners, size 1. Made in England. The card says, "Rolled edges prevent cutting thread; recessed sewing holes ensure perfect closing." Rustproof. Each snap measures 3/8" inch in diameter.

Clinton Snap Fasteners
This is a full card of 12 rustproof Clinton Snap Fasteners, size 2-0. Made by the Scovill Manufacturing Company in Waterbury, Connecticut. Each snap measures 5/16" inch in diameter. Though silvertone, the card says they are made of brass.
The back of the card gives instructions, and even provides a handy ruler. As always, click the small image at left for larger images. Probably ca. 1920s. $4
